Main spec is Arms. My off spec is prot, but I dont have much tank gear.
How comfortable are you with your offspec in raid environments?
I can tank just fine, but like I said my tank gear is basically a 609 shield and a 645 trinket.
What Prior raiding experience do you have? (Please elaborate)
4/5 ToGC, 11/12 H ICC, 7/7 H Firelands, 8/8 H DS, 3/16 H T14. Currently 1/7M and 2/10 Heroic 10/10 Normal.
Why do you want to join Defying Gravity? What makes you think you will be a good fit for our guild?
I'm looking for a late night raiding guild that can clear content. I can't raid any earlier because of work.
How old are you?
What position are you seeking within the guild?
Do you know anyone in the guild? If so, who, and how?
Why are/did you leave your most recent guild?
Well I was basically appointed to be the guildmaster of this guild by the others because I was the only one who did anything for it (recruitment, maintenance, etc...). We're just a bunch of good friends and too many of us have lost interest in this tier so we're not raiding anymore. The rest of us all agree there's not much point sticking around for now so we're finding new guilds to raid with.
What distinguishes you from other players of your class?
I put a lot of effort into understanding the mechanics and the theory behind why I do what I do. This includes running sims, theorycrafting, going for my BIS items, etc...
What is your availability? Our mandatory raid days are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 10:15 CST till 12:15. We do require 95% raid attendance and require all raiders to post on the forums if you are going to be late or can't make it.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday
What Guilds, if any, have you raided with in the past?
Well having played this game on and off for 5 years now quite a few. Most of them aren't around anymore or are dead.
As a raider, what do you feel your biggest weakness is?
Sometimes I try to take unnecessary risks to try and get a little more uptime or dps instead of just focusing on mechanics and killing the boss.
What do you do to prepare for an encounter? What outside resources do you use to research your class
I thoroughly read the dungeon journal on all new encounters as well as watch strategy videos. I get most of my information on my class from other warriors I've gotten to know over the years. I also run sims and use different settings etc in them to find out what is best.
We use a Loot Council system. Do you understand that we distribute loot with the guild's interests in mind?
Yes that's fine. I just want to kill bosses.
We raid 6 hours a week and because of that we expect very high attendance from our players - is making every raid night an issue for you? Excluding extraordinary circumstances, of course.
We use Ventrilo to communicate. Is this a problem?
Do you have a working microphone, and headset?
How does your computer handle 20 man raid settings? What is your ping/ fps like during a raid?
Ping is usually around 60-80ms and my fps is usually around 50-60.
Our guild has high standards for how our members act, and are perceived by the server community. Why do you feel you can represent our guild well?
I keep my nose out of trouble when it comes to the general community.
Other than raiding, what do you like to do in game?
Achievement runs, farming xmog, sitting in warspear doing nothing. I don't pvp much or anything else major.
How did you hear about our guild?
Trade chat recruitment spamming ftw!
What is your favorite Color?
Hard choice... I would say red.
Do you have any questions for us?
Not really anything you can answer. I'm always just a little nervous about what people's senses of humour and personalities are going into new guilds. My jokes know no boundaries and will make fun of any and everything. I keep it more serious during raids though.
